Our Beginner Sewing – My Baby’s First Dribble Bib class is the perfect maternity-leave treat. A relaxed, fun 2-hour workshop where you’ll learn the very basics of sewing from scratch and create the most adorable dribble bib for your baby.
Absolutely no sewing experience needed.
Not touched a sewing machine since your Year 9 textiles class? (…or ever?) Don’t worry, we start right at the beginning.
You’ll learn how to:
Set up and thread a sewing machine
Wind a bobbin like a pro
Master your first stitches with confidence
Cut, sew, and finish a gorgeous bib your little one can wear with pride
By the end of the session, you’ll be able to say those magic words:
✨ “I made it!” ✨
… and trust us, all the other mums at baby class will be asking where you bought it.
Baby-friendly? Absolutely!
Bring your baby along. This Mummy Sews HQ is fully set up for little ones not yet toddling: prams, car seats, bouncers, and highchairs all welcome. We even have a playpen for active rollers and on-site changing facilities. Need a highchair or bouncer? You can borrow ours.
All included – no faff.
You don’t need to bring a thing (other than yourself and your baby if you like).
Sewing machine, fabric, tools, haberdashery, patterns are all included in the class.
And yes… there will be a proper hot cup of tea for you too. ☕️ (and maybe a couple of biscuits! 🍪 )
